Join us for a University of Queensland networking reception in Washington, DC
The University of Queensland North America is hosting an Australia Day alumni and friends reception on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Oz Restaurant and Bar in Arlington.
Oz Restaurant & Bar, founded by Michael and Ashley Darby, is the DC area’s first authentic Australian restaurant. Come on by and savor the flavorful dishes created by Chef Brad Feickert.
A modern Australian restaurant situated in the trendy Clarendon neighborhood, Oz delivers a casual dining experience with tasty dishes, delicious drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere – not to mention a blue sky all year round!
With a focus on fresh ingredients and simplicity, Oz’s cuisine allows each element to be appreciated for its true flavor. A list of handcrafted cocktails and cold beers is on hand to wash down each bite, while wines are offered from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
Fashioned after an Australian country home, each of Oz’s areas has a different feel with the same comfort. The enclosed front porch welcomes natural light while the interior dining room offers a cozier option. Our copper lounge is a chic space under the blue sky, and wraparound outside seating immerses diners in the Clarendon buzz.
The event will provide networking opportunities for UQ North America's alumni and friends in the Washington, DC area - including the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. We would also invite any alumni and friends travelling to Washington, DC on business or pleasure to join us for this event.
